Celine Dion’s Twins Are “Baby Geniuses!”

At just four months old, Celine Dion’s twins are more highly developed than the average baby! On Monday’s episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, the canadian singer reveals that her boys are already growing up bilingual. “We mainly speak French to them,” Dion tells Winfrey of her tots, named after civil rights icon Nelson Mandela and French songwriter Eddy Marnay. “And they speak French to us, too,” she jokes.
“They wave, they speak French  they’ve got it all,” the Grammy-winning singer says. Dion and husband Rene Angelil conceived these twins after five failed IVF attempts. The babies were born on October 23.
Say hello to Eddy and Nelson, Celine Dion's six-week-old twins. The brothers make their debut in Canada's Hello magazine. Dion gave birth to the fraternal twins in late October. Celine and husband Rene Angelil also have a 9-year-old son, Rene-Charles.Celine also gave an interview to PEOPLE, in which she talks about her family. "The love and what I feel inside, what we have accomplished  I don't know how to put it into words. It's bigger than life itself."
The names of their newborns are significant for the singer and her husband. Eddy is named after Eddy Mornay, the producer who worked on Dion's first five albums. Mornay was like a father to Dion. "Eddy is a major influence in both Celine and Rene's lives," her rep explained in October. Meanwhile, Nelson Mandela was the inspiration for their other son's name. "Rene said that in just the few minutes they were able to spend with him, they were impressed by the human being he is," the rep continued.
"Celine and Rene want their children to be inspired by their names, because they were so inspired by these men," the rep added.
After undergoing six rounds of IVF treatments, the singer initially became pregnant with triplets, but miscarried one of the babies early in the pregnancy.
